Catepillar Sandwich

A fun summer lunch for the kiddos! Fill with their favorite sandwich toppings.

Ingredients
  • 6 Artisan French Rolls, or 6 Sourdough Rolls baked according to package instructions
  • 1/2 pound of your favorite deli meat
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, quartered
  • Pretzel sticks or toothpicks
  • Your favorite sandwich toppings
  • mustard, mayo
  • pickle chips
  • lettuce
  • tomato slices
Directions
  1. Bake rolls according to package instructions
  2. Slice rolls into 5-6 vertical slices.
  3. Put desired condiments on the sides of the rolls.
  4. Make and arrange the sandwiches on their side in a wavy line.
  5. Add a quarter of a tomato at the beginning and end of the sandwich for the head and tail of the caterpillar.
  6. Using a black food coloring marker, draw a small smiley face on the front tomato.
  7. Add two toothpicks or pretzel sticks for the antenna.
